(from an e-mail that came in yesterday)
"I hadn't understood the "butter side up" mantra until now and not knowing if you did, I am forwarding this request made by a friend who learned of Wiley's circumstance:
'The toast is in
the air, so to speak, and we're asked to focus our
prayers on assuring that it lands
with the butter side up.'"
Well said.

Thanks to Betty for letting us know of the days tests and results. We anxiously go to the computor throughout the evening awaiting any news. Our prayers are with you constantly. Nancy, prayers from me haven't shifted from you to Wiley, they still include you as you need to be so strong for him and God can give you that strength. I know from experience THIS IS TRUE. We surround you with love and prayers and hope you can feel them from this great distance that separates us. Aunt Gail & Uncle Bruce
Grandma Margie once shared with me that during my own difficult days in ICU and the hospital as a teenager she would often pray by simply repeating my name and the name of Jesus over and over. It was cool when we were able to tie specific times of her prayers to notable times in my journey of recovery. Since I heard the news Tuesday night, I've been doing the same for Wy, and including Nancy, Tim, Tyler, doctors, nurses and support team, being confident that the Lord will work all things for good. We love you!

"Oooooohh." I understand now. It's so obvious.
So, butter side up is good. But a clean floor sure doesn't hurt, either. I'm one for the ten second rule as well. But, I suppose that's stretching the analogy a bit thin.
Lots of prayer and hugs,
Cousin Scott
